Buenos Aires, Argentina

I arrived in Buenos Aires yesterday for the marathon. Due to new visa regulations, american citizens were asked to pay a $140 reciprocity fee at the airport. After I cleared customs I was able to find Chuck and our local contact George Amato outside the terminal. We enjoyed a half a day sightseeing tour of the city visting the recoleta cemetery, la boca and puerto madero. This morning, we took a tour of the marathon course that was organized by the race organizers. There were only ten runners from the United States that were on the tour bus. We went to the expo at the end of the tour to collect our race packet. The race has a 6:00 hour cutoff time and I need to get my act together so I finish the race before 1:30 pm.
